Teachers tap into brain science to boost learning

Last Updated by Nancy Rogan on

Whole Brain Teaching (WBT) is a system that engages multiple areas of the brain and keeps children actively involved throughout their lessons to help them learn.  WBT is interactive instruction and teaches concepts to students in short segments.  Students then teach what they have just learned to their partners, using hand movements to help remember specific content.  As the students teach their partners, the teacher meanders through the class to determine who has grasped the new concept and who needs additional help.
