Career Pathways in Newport News Public Schools provides opportunities for young people from pre-K to 12 to become aware of careers and interact with the business community.
Dr. Kilgore is superintendent of Newport News Public Schools and works to ensure her schools are able to address the varied needs of all students to ensure they get a high school diploma and are prepared for a rewarding future. In one of NNPS's programs, the Career Pathways program, students have the support and resources from K through 12 so they are able to become college, career and citizen-ready. The Career Pathways way of learning is now in every school, so all students will leave our school division equipped with the skills and a clear understanding of the pathway to success in their chosen career.
